Toitu Tairawhiti comprises the Chairs of the 4 Tairawhiti iwi organisations, providing governance leadership and the CE’s who provide executive management oversight and leadership.
We are made up of the CEs of the four iwi: Ngati Porou, Rongowhakaata, Ngai Tamanuhiri and Te Aitanga a Mahaki.
COVID 19
Toitu Tairawhiti was formalised in 2020 in response to the outbreak of Covid 19 in Aotearoa.
Together we organise hygiene, care and food packs, respond to requests of assistance, and advocate at a national scale.
